Introduction
Cinchona bark is the original source of the anti-malarial drug ‘quinine’. Native to South America and traditionally used to reduce fever, kill parasites, and reduce inflammation. Quinine and cinchona bark have been used by herbalists and healers to effectively reduce leg cramps & spasms, although the FDA claims there is zero evidence that quinine works for such purposes and was sub-sequentially taken off the market.
